Grandmaster C.L. Bind has been an integral part of the Indian martial arts journey since 1982. With unwavering dedication, he began training in Mumbai while simultaneously managing a full-time job. Over the decades, he mastered several martial arts disciplines.
His martial journey was deeply shaped under the guidance of Chew Choo Soot, the Malaysian weightlifting champion and founder of the world-famous Budokan Karate system.
Now at the age of 65, Grandmaster C.L. Bind continues to train daily, proving that age is never a barrier to passion, purpose, and perseverance. He has trained thousands of students across India, many of whom have gone on to become black belts, instructors, and champions in their own right.
This powerful belief guides every lesson, student, and instructor he trains. His mission has always been to spread authentic martial arts rooted in values, tradition, and lifelong learning. His commitment continues to inspire generations of martial artists across the country.
Late Mr. Shivaji Gulab Gaikwad was not only an exceptional martial artist (1973–1978), but also a deeply patriotic, disciplined, and wise individual who shaped the lives of many through his values, vision, and teachings. In 1980, he joined the Indian Railways and soon became a proud member of the Territorial Army through Central Railway. For eleven continuous years, he completed rigorous military training. During a major strike at the Mazgaon Dockyard (Sundas Road), Mumbai, while undergoing training in Jhansi, he was urgently deployed by the Government of India to Mumbai for national security duty. He served with pride alongside an Indian Army unit, safeguarding vital infrastructure in a time of crisis. 🇮🇳 A Patriotic Heart and Visionary Mind From my earliest days, my father passionately spoke to me about the history of India, its freedom fighters, great leaders, saints, and cultural legacy. His knowledge of Indian history and geography was profound and unmatched. He believed that every person should learn multiple skills, explore diverse arts, and travel across the nation and the world to broaden their understanding of life and society.
